Sudjelovanje na Erasmus BIP radionici "Designing and Constructing a Solar Updraft Chimney with 3D Printing"

Doc. dr. sc. Mojca Smode Cvitanović i doc. dr. sc. Filip Valjak, zajedno s petero studenata diplomskog studija arhitekture i urbanizma, sudjelovali su na završnoj radionici Erasmus BIP programa "Designing and Constructing a Solar Updraft Chimney with 3D Printing", koja se održala na TOBB University of Economics and Technology u Ankari, Turska, od 25. do 30. travnja 2025. godine.
Radionica je predstavljala završni dio dvomjesečnog programa koji je započeo u virtualnom formatu. Tijekom online faze studenti su sudjelovali u tematskim predavanjima i radili na razvoju svojih konceptualnih rješenja solarnih dimnjaka. Studenti i mentori iz Hrvatske, Njemačke i Turske okupili su se u Ankari na završnoj radionici kako bi zajednički izradili prototipove i prezentirali svoja rješenja. Kroz radionicu studenti su stekli praktična znanja o korištenju sunčeve energije i aditivne proizvodnje u projektiranju zgrada. Također su razvijali vještine timskog rada, interdisciplinarne suradnje i prototipiranja u kontekstu održivog dizajna. Ovaj Erasmus BIP program omogućio je studentima da kroz projektni rad povežu arhitektonsko promišljanje s inženjerskim pristupima, te primijene stečena znanja u rješavanju konkretnih problema održive gradnje.

Participation in the Erasmus BIP Workshop "Designing and Constructing a Solar Updraft Chimney with 3D Printing"
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mojca Smode Cvitanović and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Filip Valjak, together with five master’s students of architecture and urban planning, participated in the final workshop of the Erasmus BIP program "Designing and Constructing a Solar Updraft Chimney with 3D Printing", held at TOBB University of Economics and Technology in Ankara, Türkiye, from April 25 to 30, 2025.
The workshop represented the final phase of a two-month program that began in a virtual format. During the online phase, students attended thematic lectures and worked on developing their conceptual designs for solar chimneys. Students and mentors from Croatia, Germany, and Türkiye gathered in Ankara for the concluding workshop, where they collaboratively built prototypes and presented their solutions.
Throughout the workshop, students acquired practical knowledge about the use of solar energy and additive manufacturing in architectural design. They also developed skills in teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and prototyping within the context of sustainable design.
This Erasmus BIP program provided students with an opportunity to connect architectural thinking with engineering approaches through project-based learning, and to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges in sustainable construction.
